2、mpanies are booming step by step in capital market to reinforce self-strength and risk-resistance. Therefore, a mutual issue confronting the domestic security industry has emerged as the means to withstand risk-occurrenc

3、e and to promote income, which makes the business efficiency of security companies as the most important indicator that affect the operation efficiency of the capital market in China, giving rise to certain influence on

4、the operation of entire financial system as well as the speed and quality of national economic development. As a consequence, it is self-evident that evaluating the business efficiency of native security companies ration

5、ally is of great importance and urgency in the current situation. This paper has selected a data panel of 106 security companies in China with two input indicators such as employee emolument and capital input, gross trad

6、ing income is regarded as the only output. The approach of data envelopment analysis is employed to probe into the operation efficiency on basis of the financial statements of the forementioned security companies in the

7、year 2010, according to the statistics of Securities Association of China(SAC). The conclusions are displayed as follows: sufficient room for further improvement is existing in the operation system of native security com

8、panies due to entirely-inefficient performance; a couple of security companies are exhibiting overwhelming scale expansion that set constraints to their own business efficiencies as a result of irrational resource alloca

9、tion; the whole business efficiency of listed security companies are generally higher than that of unlisted ones; innovative security companies have more advantages compared with security companies in canonical and other

10、 forms. The current thesis is organized as five sections. An introduction to research background and main content is firstly presented as Chapter 1, which is exemplified with development history, current situation home a

11、nd abroad, efficiencies and corresponding appraisal approach, infrastructure and innovations for native security companies. Subsequently, theoretic study on efficiency evaluation of security companies is presented in Cha
