3、 construction of his art world. The unique natural geographical environment, the simple and kind folk customs and humanity with a long history are nurturing and attracting Li Jinxiang, which makes him give all of the cre

4、ative passion to depict his deep attachment to his home town, meanwhile, the reginal customs has broadened the the implication of his short stories. Though plain, his short stories are not lack of profundity, with gentle

5、 portraits of the people living in Qingshuihe who are of kind and complex nature of the country. The love and compassion, humanity's insight and understanding, and the particular concentration on human destiny, give

6、 readers a state of shock and art. After a close reading of the texts, we can sense the broadness and the richness in Li Jinxiang’s literature world that are far beyond our imagination. Therefore, based on the close rea

7、ding of Li Jinxiang’s short stories and the analysis of the texts, this thesis explores Li Jinxiang’s literary creation from three aspects, including subjects, themes, and artisitc style. First, on the subjects of his wo

8、rks, Li Jinxiang prefers to expressing the lives and the destinies of the people who are living in Qingshuihe. At the same time, he also likes to narrate the lives and the destinies of the people who have left Qingshuihe

9、 and gone to work in cities. Second, on the themes of his works, the thesis explores Li Jinxiang’s appeal of morals and his concerns of the hardship of the lowest class. Third, on the artisitc style, the simple narration

10、 and the extraodinary psychoanalysis, depressive and quality of the poetics and dialectual writing, add the elegence to his simple and leisurely literary creation. Last, the thesis aslo explores the values, significance
