2、ree patterns of career compromise, that is compromise in terms of alternatives, compromise in terms of the relative importance of the aspects taken into account during the career decision, and compromise in terms of the
3、preferences within each of the aspects, on the extent of compromise, the degree of the difficulty of career decision and the likelihood of asking for help. Secondly, observes the relation between the relatively important
4、 aspects in career decision and career compromise. Thirdly, writes a questionnaire of coping style in the process of career compromise and carries on the investigation of university students and people who has been worki
5、ng. This research draws following conclusion: Conclusion 1: The extent of compromise, the degree of the difficulty of career decision and the likelihood of asking for help in terms of alternatives is higher than in terms
6、 of the relative importance of the aspects taken into account during the career decision, and in terms of the preferences within each of the aspects. Conclusion 2: On the basis of relevant literature, questionnaire and t
7、he situation of China, it confirms interest, prestige, income, future development of work place, etc (totally 17 aspects) are the relatively important aspects which people concern when they make career decisions. Conclus
8、ion 3: There are significant differences between male students and female students in the distance between work place and home, opportunity of training and promotion, interpersonal relationship in the occupation and resp
9、onsibility. Conclusion 4: We find a significant correction between importance and extremity except for degree of independence in the occupation, responsibility and so on. That is, the more important the aspect is, the mo
10、re extreme the optimal level is. We find a significant negative correction between importance and compromise except for sex type, degree of independence in the occupation and so on. That is, the more important the aspect
11、 is, the less readiness to compromise. Conclusion 5: The questionnaire of coping style in career compromise has the high internal uniform reliability, split-half reliability and good structure validity, its each psycholo
