2、ract The tractor cab is a vital part of the tractor. It's responsible for protecting the safety of the driver. In order to increase the safety factor of the tractor and make the driver has the lowest probability of i
3、njury in a tractor crash, safety analysis of the cab is required. This article takes a tractor cab of a certain type as a research object, establishes a finite element model of the tractor cab by using HyperMesh, calcula
4、tes the stress and strain distribution and weak position of the tractor structure, makes structure optimization, makes it meet the OECD test requirments. Specific research contents are as follows. Firstly, the basic prin
5、ciple and the main steps of finite element analysis are introduced. The theory of finite element modeling is studied. A finite element model of cab with main shell element and few entity unit is established by using the
6、finite element modeling software HyperMesh. Secondly, according to the stipulation of OECD rule——《strength test method for standard tractor protection device (static load test)》, this article takes strength analysis of t
7、he tractor cab. The longitudinal loading test of thrust, forward thrust, lateral push, and pressure collapse of the rear pressure and front pressure are carried out. The stress and strain distribution is obtained. The re
8、ar pressure and the front pressure simulation load reached 85614N and 103760N respectively, and the cab was crushed. When the lateral push simulation energy reached 9380J, the bridge of the cab was fractured. It indicate
9、s that there are weak positions in the cab, which does not meet the requirements of the OECD test. Then, the cab structure is optimized. 2 vertical beams, 6 reinforcement bars and 6 reinforcing plates are added. The fram
10、e and the vertical beam are increased from 3mm to 4mm. Finally, safety analysis is carried on. The results shows that the cab is not crushed. The plastic strain values of the overall frame, front and rear connection part
11、s and bolts are not large. There is no break. The cab does not intrude into the driver’s body area. It is stated that the cab meets the OECD test requirements. Then the tractor cab of the model, both to meet the needs of
12、 enterprises to expand overseas market, and can reduce the loss caused by design defects for production enterprises, reduce research and development expenses, improve production efficiency, and enhance market competitive
