2、istoryIIAbstractAlbert’swork,History of Jerusalem (Historia Ierosolimitana), isthe most detailed,vivid and complete records about the First Crusade.The book was written aroundtwelfth Century, in Latin, and divided into 1

3、2 volumes.They had a detailed records ofthe Crusader Byzantine, Asia Minor, Syria and the whole process of the conquest ofJerusalem.What’s more, the subsequent Crusader states’ affairs and policies wereincluded.There was

4、little information about the author, we just know that Albert is thebishop of Aachen, and he did not personally participate in the pilgrimage. Accordingto the modern research, Albert's work is considerablyindependent

5、 writing,and there isalmost no effect by the other three authors who participated in theCrusader.Albertmay had referred to materials which has lost, and used a large numberoral materials of the Germancrusaders.It involve

6、d manydetails that contemporariesdidn’t mentioned,and the academic value is quite high. However, the book is morecited as original material than history book, and there lacks research results.Especiallyin China, there is

7、 almost no monograph or thesis makes a comprehensive reviewabout it through the modern historicalperspective.This paper is divided into five chapters.In the first chapter,the writingtime,versions and the contemporary rel

8、evant works were introduced;The secondchapter titled “the war inHistory of Jerusalem”;the third chapter titled “the religion inHistory of Jerusalem”;the fourth chapter titled “natural vision, ethniccustoms,calamities and

9、 misfortunes”,all thesemake a concrete analysis of the specificcontent of theHistory of Jerusalem. The fifth chapter is the summary of the abovechapters, from the perspective of Albert's historical purpose, historica

10、l methods,historical interpretation,make anoverall evaluation of the historical characteristics andthe level ofHistoryofJerusalem.In the Conclusion part, the thesis will be sublimated, combined with thebackground of the
