4、lchetal.2004)reinfcingthesignificanceofthepracticeofbringtononprofitganizations.Itisarguedthatsuchrecognitioniswelloverdue.Histicallynonprofitshavebeenrelativelyslowtoadoptbringpracticesbecauseofdifficultiesincommittingi
5、nternalstakeholderstotheprocess(Grounds&Harkness1996)aperceptiononthepartofsomenonprofitmanagersthatbringistoo“commercial”evenimmal(Ritchieetal.1998).Furthermetherehasbeenconcernthatfmallyrecognizingaityasabrmayhaveanega
6、tiveimpactondonationsaspotentialdonsmaybelievethosetobeunjustifiableexpensesinappropriateuseofdons’moneyinvolvedinbring(Grounds2005).Despitethisunderlyingreticencetouse“commercial”terminologynonprofitganizationshaveincre
7、asinglybeenconcernedwiththemaintenanceofaconsistentstyletoneofvoiceensuringthataconsistentpersonalityisprojected(Tapp1996).FurthermeGrounds(2005)arguesthatsuchpracticesaretheveryessenceofmeholisticmannerhaveconsideredvar
8、iousthemessuchasbrsasalegalinstrumentasadifferentiatingdeviseasacompanyasanidentitysystemasanimageinconsumers’mindsasapersonalityasarelationshipasaddingvalueasanevolvingentity.Inthenonprofitcontextthesedefinitionsarepart
9、icularlyhelpfulastheyidentifytheneedtoconsidernotonlyallthatisassociatedwiththebrnamebutalsoallthebractivities.MecontemparyistheholisticdefinitionofferedbytheUnitedKingdom’sNationalSocietyfthePreventionofCrueltytoChildre
