3、stract Particulate components is complex, small size, large specific surface area carry large amounts of toxic and harmful substances, including the widespread polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Human exposure to P

4、AHs and particles occur mainly via direct inhalation, dietary intake and dermal contact. Heavy occupational and environmental exposure to mixtures of PAHs and particles entail a substantial risk of disease in humans. Ski

5、n is exposed to the environment for a long time and the contact area is large. PAHs and particles can be adsorbed on the surface and enter into the body through hair pores. Clothing contact with the skin directly, and th

6、e PAHs and particles adsorbed on cloth also poses a threat to human health. Study the adsorption capacities for airborne PAHs and particles of different fabrics can provide important society and production values. In thi

7、s study, we studied and compared the adsorption capacities for airborne PAHs and particles of 6 fabrics, and analyzed the influential factors. The experimental 6 fabrics are cotton, linen, chiffon, rayon, mercerized cott

8、on and polyamide. The experimental results showed as follows: 1. Per unit of gram adsorption capacities for PAHs reduced in the sequence chiffon> polyamide > rayon cotton > cotton, mercerized cotton > linen.

9、The highest and the lowest of per unit of gram adsorption capacities were1332.33 ng· g-1 to 2744.76 ng· g-1 and178.06 ng· g-1 to 493.15 ng· g-1 for chiffon and linen, respectively. 2. The percentage o

10、f PAHs in fabrics reduced in the sequence 4r>3r>2r>5r>6r. The percentage of 3r and 4r in polyamide is 89.9%. The percentage of 3r and 4r in mercerized cotton is 71.9%. However, the percentage of 5r and 6r in

11、mercerized cotton is 17.9%, the highest. PAHs 6 kinds of fabrics are mainly from the gas phase in the textiles. 3. Fabrics PAHs were dominated by phenanthrene, fluoranthene, pyrene, and chrysene. The concentration of phe

12、nanthrene in the chiffon is the highest, ranging from 642.9 ng· g-1 to 800.2 ng· g-1. 4. Adsorption capacities for particles reduced in the sequence mercerized cotton > rayon > chiffon>polyamide>cot

13、ton>linen, and the sequence of average adsorption was winter>autumn>spring. 5. Fabrics of different adsorption capacity of airborne PAHs are resulted by different factors. With the increasing amount of o
